The MP3 is essentially a trick— specific sounds are removed with the intention of fooling your ears into thinking they are still there— and when your brain has to work too hard to fill in the blanks, it gets tired of listening.
Doe anyone know of any research which backs up this exact claim (esp. the latter part of it)?
